The availability of Prognosis IP Telephony Management Reporter, a reporting software solution for IP telephony, was today annouched by Integrated Research. The solution gives large enterprises and managed service providers new management-level insight into IP telephony usage trends and service levels.
The information provided will be used by multiple stakeholders within an organization to improve planning, understand and measure service levels, and optimize resource usage of their IP telephony service.
This new add-on software draws on extensive performance metrics collected by the foundation product, Prognosis IP Telephony Manager, to offer a choice of executive overview reports and in-depth operational reports for problem troubleshooting and business usage trending.
Reports can be scheduled at regular intervals for automatic generation and distribution to multiple lists of individuals. They can also be generated on demand to identify and assist with troubleshooting problem trends, for example in gateway utilization, call failures or voice quality.
Prognosis IP Telephony Management Reporter supports Cisco Unified CallManager versions 3.3, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 and is an add-on product for Prognosis IP Telephony Manager Version 8.0, the market-dominant performance management solution for large-scale enterprise and managed service provider IP telephony deployments.
Pricing for Prognosis IP Telephony Management Reporter starts at US$75,000 for environments monitoring up to 5000 IP telephones.
For enterprise clients, Prognosis IP Telephony Management Reporter will provide critical information to network managers, operations managers, telecom managers, and capacity planners. Out-of-the-box reports will provide these individuals with visibility into utilization trends to help effectively plan for future capacity needs and to identify inefficient use of existing infrastructure. These reports also provide a view into the history and occurrence of service level breaches, so organizations can uncover the impact on business and address these issues accordingly.
Prognosis reports can be generated by any defined groups of devices or for specific customers, making it an ideal solution for managed service providers, hosted IP telephony providers, or ITIL-oriented enterprises.
