PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager emerging as solution of choice for global providers of managed IP telephony services

Integrated Research today announced that the company’s PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager software has been purchased by three of the world’s largest managed service providers (MSPs), furthering its dominant position in the IP communications management market.
PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager is a specialized management solution used to optimize voice quality and ensure telephony service reliability in large-scale Cisco and Avaya IP telephony deployments. Already the dominant solution for managing large enterprise environments, PROGNOSIS is now emerging as the solution of choice for MSPs who deliver, monitor and manage IP telephony services to multiple and often widely dispersed customers.
“The selection of PROGNOSIS by these high-profile organizations is a major milestone,” said Nathan Brumby, general manager of voice over IP (VoIP) and IP telephony products for Integrated Research. “PROGNOSIS is already used by two of Europe’s largest MSPs, Orange Business Systems and T-Systems, so the addition of these major United States service firms is further confirmation of our product’s suitability for managing large environments across multiple customers and multiple IP telephony vendor platforms.”
MSPs use PROGNOSIS to monitor IP telephony system utilization and the status of key components that can impact call quality and service reliability. PROGNOSIS provides stakeholders within these organizations a unified view of all their IP telephony environments, while giving them tools to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues before they become major problems.
When selecting a management solution such as PROGNOSIS, major firms demand rigorous due diligence. “When recently chosen by one of the world’s largest MSPs, our software had to pass through 400 test procedures, and involved dealings with up to 40 different people within their organization,” Brumby added.
Key reasons why so many MSPs are selecting PROGNOSIS over alternative tools include its ability to manage multiple vendor technologies, its scalability in large environments, and its flexibility to be easily customized and integrated into existing event management processes.
“The recent addition of these major managed service providers to our customer base puts our company in a very solid position for the future, and validates our strategy of extending PROGNOSIS to support more than one vendor platform,” said Keith Andrews, chief executive officer for Integrated Research. “These initial MSP purchases are only for first-phase rollouts with a handful of large enterprise customers, so there’s a lot of growth potential within end-user sites and with partners rolling out new customer sites as the overall market expands.”
PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager is used by hundreds of the world’s largest enterprises and service providers including the world’s two largest aerospace companies, two of the largest US electric utility companies, three of the largest US financial services firms, two of Europe’s largest MSPs and three of the largest US-headquartered MSPs.
