Integrated Research recently announced the integration of network diagnostics and VoIP management at VoiceCon Orlando 2010.
The inclusion of network diagnostics delivers significant benefits to both network and voice administrators as troubleshooting VoIP performance issues can now include the underlying network.
Pierre Semaan, General Manager, Product Management and Marketing said “Our customers have told us they need a seamless capability to map and drill down into the network fabric to correlate its performance with call and voice quality.
"Integrating network diagnostic capabilities into PROGNOSIS VoIP management will mean users can follow the path of a systems failure into the network. Operations staff can view the network in real time, create snapshots of the network fabric at specific points in time and replay network maps for correlation with changes in voice and call performance. They will be able to identify the precise device or link responsible and analyse that device to determine corrective action.”
Network Diagnostics uses the information that PROGNOSIS already makes available about VoIP devices to discover, classify and map the network fabric connecting them, reducing mean time to repair and bringing visibility and control to the complete VoIP ecosystem.”
Network Diagnostics for PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager is currently in beta and on track for release next quarter.
