Integrated Research is a successful Australian company exporting its PROGNOSIS software to customers in more than 50 countries. Working in our Head Office in North Sydney, this role offers an exciting opportunity to act as a senior test analyst ensuring the compliance of our products with the latest Windows, UNIX, Linux and Middleware products.
As Senior Test Analyst, you will test PROGNOSIS against the latest Windows, UNIX, Linux and Middleware products, identifying where PROGNOSIS is compliant and where there are issues. You will analyse the new features of those latest products and make recommendations to Product Management and Development for product enhancements that will allow our customers to make the best possible use of PROGNOSIS.
Reporting to the PROGNOSIS Test Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for a wide range of testing activities and for providing input to development roadmaps to ensure PROGNOSIS remains a leading solution for monitoring the performance of business-critical systems for some of the world’s most important enterprises.
Main activities:
- Participate in estimation, planning and risk estimation.
- Participate in reviews of requirements, specification and design.
- Preparing Test documentation (test plans and scripts).
- System Testing - including logging defects and assisting developers to isolate and resolve defects where possible.
- Communicating test activities and findings.
- Adhering to Test disciplines and methodologies.
- Performing specialised and general testing, including complex systems.
- Advises, educates, and evangelises the QA aspects of the development life cycle, especially to developers.
- Develop and manage maintenance of automated Test harnesses.
- Track Test results.
- Perl scripting.
- Advise on software fitness for release.
You will have an in-depth experience across a wide range of Windows, UNIX, Linux and Middleware platforms; strong quality focus and the ability to think laterally to overcome difficulties in problem analysis and resolution; strong communications skills, both written and verbal; excellent interpersonal skills; be a team player and also work autonomously; relevant tertiary qualifications; have the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; and have excellent time management and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
