Integrated Research’s PROGNOSIS monitoring and diagnostics software provides visibility into large-scale Avaya IP telephony deployments
31 Jan 2007
Announced today PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager software has passed compliance testing through the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program. The software is now compliant with key IP telephony solutions
from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
A market leader with more than six year’s experience in large-scale enterprise and managed
service provider IP telephony deployments, PROGNOSIS gives deep visibility into the state of key
system components that can impact call quality and service reliability, and provides an efficient tool
that can significantly reduce the cost of operations.
PROGNOSIS enables operational staff to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot their IP telephony
environment in real time. PROGNOSIS also tracks system performance and usage over time to
help companies make better decisions about capacity requirements as their deployment grows.
PROGNOSIS allows operations and management staff to better evaluate the expenses associated
with deploying their IP telephony system, such as ongoing operational costs and future investment
requirements.
"Achieving Avaya compliance demonstrates our commitment and progress with our strategy to
support multiple IP communication platforms.” said Keith Andrews, Chief Executive Officer of
Integrated Research. “Avaya is one of the leading providers of IP telephony systems and this
certification will enable our enterprise customers and managed service providers to monitor,
diagnose and troubleshoot their Avaya, Cisco or hybrid environments with a single, proven and
effective tool.”
As a member of Avaya’s DeveloperConnection program, Integrated Research is eligible to submit
products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There a team
of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is
Avaya compliant. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-breed capabilities to their
network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new
applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Integrated Research who
are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions
that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, Vice President,
Developer Relations and Technical Alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent
Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over
whatever device they have available – getting more out of their network and delivering new value
to their bottom line."
Integrated Research will be demonstrating PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager at the Avaya Asia
Pacific Partner Conference in Macau in late January 2007 and at VoiceCon Spring 07, March 5-8,
2007, at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida, USA.
