PROGNOSIS for SRST
Your Cisco Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) ensures calls will always be sustained, but what can sustain your SRST?
PROGNOSIS can.
PROGNOSIS for SRST provides you with fall-back management support for Cisco IP phones attached to a Cisco router on the local network. If Cisco IP phones lose contact with primary, secondary, and tertiary Cisco CallManagers, they establish a connection to a local Cisco SRST router to sustain the call-processing capability necessary to place and receive calls.
PROGNOSIS alerts you when the WAN link to the Cisco CallManager at the central site goes down, or when connectivity to the Cisco CallManager is lost. Your service provider, IS department, or voice and data administrator can also be alerted if the WAN link to the Cisco CallManager goes down, or if connectivity is lost.
With PROGNOSIS you can proactively monitor the performance of phones and SRST routers until the WAN link comes up, or until phones can register again with your centralized Cisco CallManager.
PROGNOSIS provides:
- Out-of-the-box management of branch-office SRST environments
- Monitoring and alerts to when an SRST is enabled
- Monitoring of phones when they are routed through the SRST
- Graphical displays with intuitive navigation
- Immediate access to real-time metrics for performance monitoring and device fine-tuning
As with all PROGNOSIS solutions, PROGNOSIS for SRST is highly scalable and integrates with other PROGNOSIS products to provide comprehensive end-to-end IP telephony performance monitoring of centralized Cisco CallManager and survivable remote site telephony.
